With the nation into a second national lockdown, some good news this week for those living in Devizes and the surrounding area as Bakkavor Desserts, one of the region’s leading employers, announces 90 new job vacancies, as part of a proactive plan to support people who are out of work.
The winter months are traditionally a peak period for food manufacturers and the retail sector, with consumers gearing up for big food and drink purchases in the run up to Christmas. The announcement of 90 local jobs demonstrates Bakkavor’s commitment to support the local economy at a critical time and is part of a nationwide effort to get people back into work.
With a 535-strong workforce, Bakkavor Desserts in Devizes has an additional 90 permanent vacancies available for a wide range of roles including, factory staff, hygiene operatives and warehouse workers.

All applicants will need to have a basic understanding of English literacy and numeracy (ESOL 2). Previous experience working in this kind of setting is preferable, but not essential.
