Founder and managing director of award-winning Sales Coaching Solutions, Alison Edgar, has been invited to feature on Ruth Alexander’s BBC Radio 4’s show, Money Box, tomorrow February 24,2016. Alison was asked by BBC Radio to pass comment on Julie Dean’s review on self-employment and what it is like to run a small business.
Alison recognises how important it is, as a small business owner, to stay up to date with UK business news. She said: “It is my true passion to support small business and entrepreneurs in any way that I can so that they can flourish and grow. Like many other businesses, the past year has been a whirlwind of ups and downs and I cannot stress enough how important it is to invest in business support and adapt to recent changes in legislation.”
The local business owner has had a bountiful year; she has been voted one of the UK’s top ten business advisors as well as winning an award for the service category at the Great British Entrepreneur of the Year awards. She has been featured in the national press and last month took 20 local small businesses to Downing Street to speak to David Cameron’s advisor. Alison’s passion for sales and small business have concluded in her being the South West Champion for Enterprise Nation and Small Business Saturday.
Alison’s desire for other businesses to succeed is what sets her apart from others. With sales often being referred to as the devil’s side of the business, Alison has taken the fork out of the tail to ensure sales and customer service becomes the same thing. No hard sells, no mis-selling, just honest accounts of the business that work alongside basic human psychology to deliver exceptional results.
This invitation comes shortly after her client, the Young Jordan Daykin, is announced as one of the most successful Dragon’s Den Contestant of all time with a £10 million business venture at the age of 20.
