Award winning online directory for gluten free living launches mobile app

The Gluten Free Centre – the UK’s most comprehensive, award winning online directory and community hub for all things gluten free– has launched its free mobile app for consumers.

The app is designed to help anyone living gluten free, to easily find shops, restaurants, takeaways and hotels catering for their needs.

Designed by co-founders Diana and David Murphy, the app is free and will be officially launched at The Gluten Free Centre’s stand (A131) at The Allergy and Free From Show at Olympia, London from Friday July 3 to Sunday July 5.

Diana said: “We’re very proud of the new Gluten Free Centre app which will help our fast growing gluten free audience to access important information on the go.

“Users can choose from thousands of gluten-free friendly places to eat out, stay, shop or get a take away.

“What makes our app different is we include small, independent restaurants and hotels alongside the most popular chains.

“We’re selective about the places we add to our database – only the ones offering real choice, quality and understanding of gluten-free food are included.”

The Gluten Free Centre was launched in October last year by David and Diana who live in Wiltshire. Their vision was to create a vision of creating a useful, practical online resource and a supportive community for everyone living gluten free in the UK.

Today it supports a large community of over 22,000 on Facebook, 10,000 website visitors each month and has 6,000 readers of its free e-magazine.

Diana said: “We hope that the new app will serve our community on the go and becomes a great addition to our free resources”.

The app is available to download from the Google Playstore (for Android devices – http://bit.ly/1SJDfdX ) and from the iTunes App Store.
