Swindon-based youth charity Inner Flame is set to host its annual Young Champions evening on Friday 19th November.

Back after a brief hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic, this special event recognises a selection of incredible young people that have overcome adversity to achieve great things.

Young Champions is the charity’s biggest fundraising event of the year, providing vital finances needed to continue delivering its service to support unemployed 16-25s in the town. Inner Flame offers free courses to develop confidence, self-worth, life-skills, and employability for disadvantaged young people.

As part of the evening, guests will hear the stories of 2021’s Young Champions and see them awarded for the challenges they’ve overcome.

James Threlfall MBE, Inner Flame, said, “Young Champions is a chance to recognise a handful of the incredible young people that we work with through our free programmes. All this year’s individuals have overcome serious barriers in their lives to get to where they are today. We’re delighted to give them the chance to tell their story on the night, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved.

“We’re also excited to announce that our special guest for 2021 is TV’s Nick Hewer. Swindon born and raised, Nick was not only Alan Sugar’s Advisor on The Apprentice and the Countdown host between 2012-2021, but prior to that established himself as an ambitious, self-made businessman. With an extremely inspirational story, we’re delighted to hear all at Young Champions 2021.”

Tables at the Young Champions evening are priced from £500 for a table of 10 which includes a three-course meal and live entertainment. The event is taking place at The DoubleTree Swindon Hotel from 6pm until late. To secure your table and to find out more about supporting Inner Flame, email: james@innerflame.org.uk
