Swindon-based Automotive Business Management Services firm, APD, has moved to new premises to provide a ‘high-tech’ environment for staff and clients, whilst also providing a base for its new education and training academy.

APD has been investing in a new generation of its performance management systems for the automotive sector. The move to new offices reflects the business development and continued investment in the business.

Established in 2006, APD was acquired by Ed White in 2018, which has taken the company from technical specialist to pioneer of world-class business management solutions for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across national and international markets through the introduction of new performance products and services.

Part of the journey involved restructuring the business and strategic new hires, including Mat Hutchin as Commercial Director, Clive Sury as Project Manager and Rebecca Barker as Programme Manager, to lead the business forward.

John Waring, Chief Executive Officer at APD, said, “APD is reaching some significant milestones this year, providing an opportunity to reflect on this four-year journey. Our proactive approach to deploying new technologies and continued commitment to product development and customer experience has set us apart within the automotive industry.”

APD has an impressive track record of introducing new technology and a sophisticated portfolio of software solutions. With a clear vision for the future of network performance management and cutting-edge technology, the firm aims to close the gap between OEMs and dealerships by helping them interpret data and providing them with detailed performance insight.

The company recently launched its state-of-the-art budgeting and forecasting software, ProfitPlanner+, specifically engineered to help dealerships’ through integrated, automated and streamlined budgeting and forecasting processes.

John, added, “Technology, operational and performance data remain at the centre of what APD does. We are committed to continuous improvement and product development. ProfitPlanner+ is a perfect example of how we can improve a business with measurable outcomes.”

The new office in Swindon  facilitates the launch of its new education and training service, the APD Education and Training Academy, delivering a comprehensive range of virtual and physical learning environments specific to dealerships and OEMs operational staff.
