A one day working diary, from rise and shine to lights out.
Every Tuesday we delve into the day-to-day diary of a member of the local business community. This week we put the spotlight on Natarlee Lawrence, managing consultant at the Trowbridge branch of Juice Recruitment.
Juice Recruitment specialises in sourcing sales, HR, creative, office, accountancy, financial services and temporary staff and has offices across the South West including Bath, Bristol and Cheltenham.
Natarlee has 10 years experience in the recruitment sector and has been in her current role since July 2015 after being promoted from her position as recruitment consultant.
What time does your alarm go off?
7am, although I can’t guarantee I always get up at that time!
What’s the first thing you do?
Check my emails and then wake my son up for school.
What do you do for lunch?
I receive calls from candidates who are on their lunch break. We tend to eat lunch together as a team in the office. Jacket potatoes and toasted teacakes play an important part of most lunch times.
What do you love most about your job?
My fantastic team and the entire Juice family – we’re so close, everyone works incredibly hard, but we have the best times together. Oh and wine Fridays!!
What’s the worst part of the job?
Delivering news to candidates who have been unsuccessful at interview.
What executive tool/ gadget could you not live without?
I would be absolutely lost without Google and my ‘to-do’ pad – not a real gadget but I love writing to-do lists and checking off what I have achieved each day.
What do you do after work?
After work usually involves a desperate rush to pick my son up from after school club, adding to my ‘to do’ list for the following day. Circuits and recovery from circuits as often as I can.
If you changed direction, what would be your Plan B?
Although I have never seriously considered not being in recruitment, I love the idea of being a free spirit, travelling the world taking on various jobs to fund my trips – one can dream!!
What I do know is, if I weren’t a part of the Juice team, there is no other recruitment agency I would work for.
