Wiltshire’s Alison Edgar, The Entrepreneur’s Godmother and managing director of Sales Coaching Solutions, has been named the ‘UK’s Number One Adviser’ in the Sales and Marketing category of the Top 50 Advisers Competition 2018.
The awards, which are run by Enterprise Nation and powered by Experian, saw over 300 entries and took place at a ceremony in London last week.
The ‘Top 50’ were shortlisted by a panel of “esteemed” judges including Emma Jones MBE, Max Firth, Bev James, and Dr Rannia Leontaridi OBE. The vote was handed over to the public to decide the top adviser in each category.
Emma Jones, MBE, and founder of Enterprise Nation, who handed out the awards commented: “It’s our mission to ensure that we can help deliver the right advice to the right business at the right time in order to help them to grow. These awards celebrate the great work that passionate individuals like Alison deliver to the small business community every day.”
Alison said: “I’m so excited to have won the award not once but a second time. It means so much to be recognised by amazing businesses like Enterprise Nation and Experian.”
She continued: “With the release of my book, Secrets of Successful Sales, this year has been great so far! I’m honoured to be recognised twice for the work I do in such a short capacity of time and I’m looking forward to what the rest of 2018 holds!”
In addition to the awards, Enterprise Nation, with the help from ICAEW, is releasing a new platform in April that will help business owners “connect and grow” with likeminded individuals.
Sophie Arnold, of Enterprise Nation, explained: “In short, with the launch of the new platform, we will be making it very easy for you to find what you need quickly. Whether it’s an in-depth webinar on using Facebook advertising or a five-minute video highlighting top tips when pitching to buyers, you’ll be able to find what you need in a few clicks.”
After the awards, Alison appeared on LBC alongside Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation and Amanda Ruiz, winner of The UK’s Top PR Adviser, to answer questions from business people and budding entrepreneurs alike.
