Michelle Donelan, MP for the Chippenham constituency and Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, recently visited AB Dynamics in Bradford-on-Avon.

The visit included a demonstration of AB Dynamics’ market-leading driving simulator, the aVDS, which is used by vehicle manufacturers and Formula 1 teams around the world. The simulator allows for the testing of new automotive technologies, including autonomy and active safety systems, in a virtual environment.

AB Dynamics PLC company, ABD Solutions, also showcased its capability to automate existing large-scale mining vehicle fleets using driving robotics.

Dr James Routh, AB Dynamics Group CEO, said, “As a leading provider of advanced testing and simulation solutions for the global automotive industry, we are committed to driving innovation and technological advancement. It was a privilege to demonstrate this to our local MP and the Technology Secretary through our simulator, which is just one example of the world-leading solutions we develop.”

Michelle Donelan said, “Companies like AB Dynamics are at the heart of our mission to drive economic growth, create the jobs of tomorrow and change people’s lives for the better. It was fantastic to see their technology in action. I have visited them a few times over the years and seen them go from strength to strength as a local job creator. As the brand-new Technology Secretary, I will do everything I can to champion our world leading tech sector businesses both at home and abroad.”
