22 for ’22: Celebrating Swindon & Wiltshire’s Most Inspiring Women

By Anita Jaynes on 10 March, 2022

We’re celebrating Swindon and Wiltshire’s most inspiring women to mark International Women’s Day 2022 which this year takes place on Tuesday 8th March.

Through our social media channels, we asked our readers which women in our community inspire them and created a list of 22 for ’22. The list is printed in our Feb/March magazine and from Tuesday 1st March, each weekday throughout the month we are profiling and championing each of these fantastic women online and via our social feeds.

Today we put the spotlight on Kathryn Wellum-Kent.

Kathryn is Business Services Director at MHA Monahans, Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors. Working across both the Bath and Swindon offices she manages a portfolio of clients, helping them to balance their existing commercial needs with their future aspirations.

Kathryn joined MHA Monahans in 2018, having spent 16 years working at one of the Big Four accountancy firms, where she gained experience working with a range of clients from small owner managed business, through to large public multinationals, across a number of sectors, but principally focused on technology and business service companies.

In 2021, Kathryn became a judge for the Techies awards Swindon & Wiltshire, helping to support and raise the profile of technology firms in the area.

Outside of work Kathryn is a Trustee and Finance Director for local youth development charity Inner Flame. The organisation helps to empower young people who are at a disadvantage, so they have a greater opportunity to thrive. It offers training programmes and mentoring to help young people to discover their potential, build confidence and move towards employment.
