We’re celebrating Swindon and Wiltshire’s most inspiring women to mark International Women’s Day 2022 which this year takes place on Tuesday 8th March.
Through our social media channels, we asked our readers which women in our community inspire them and created a list of 22 for ’22. The list is printed in our Feb/March magazine and from Tuesday 1st March, each weekday throughout the month we are profiling and championing each of these fantastic women online and via our social feeds.
Today we put the spotlight on Barbara Leatham.
Barbara is a professional photographer who prides herself on helping clients to showcase their offering through imagery, steering them away from image libraries and giving them the edge over competitors.
She joined the Royal Air Force in 2002 and trained as a soldier and then as a photographer, gaining an NVQ3 in photography. Her broad range of expertise includes everything from black and white film techniques and medium and large format cameras to digital capture and manipulation.
Her background in graphic design, as well as the skills gained during studying for her Masters, allows her to create images that have narrative and engagement for clients.
Barbara is proud supporter of the Butterfly Wishes Network which provides professional free photography for families of children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses.
