We’re celebrating Swindon and Wiltshire’s most inspiring women to mark International Women’s Day 2022 which this year took place on Tuesday 8th March.
Through our social media channels, we asked our readers which women in our community inspire them and created a list of 22 for ’22. The list is printed in our Feb/March magazine and from Tuesday 1st March, each weekday throughout the month we are profiling and championing each of these fantastic women online and via our social feeds.
Today we put the spotlight on Gemma Young, Founder of Corsham-based Queens Square Wealth Management, a Senior Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management.
Gemma set up Queens Square Wealth Management in 2009 following a career in the world of corporate finance. Since then the firm has gone from strength to strength achieving Chartered Financial Planning Status, establishing itself on Corsham High Street and growing a team of advisers passionate about helping clients make the most of their money and realise their financial goals.
Gemma has created a business which is passionate about being part of the local community and regularly supports events in Corsham such as the Christmas light switch on.
In 2001, Gemma was a finalist in the Professional Adviser ‘Women in Financial Advice Awards’ in the Financial Adviser of the the Year category. These awards celebrate the achievements of women working within the financial advice community and were open to women whose achievements and work within financial advice in the UK have helped enhance the sector or raise its profile as a career for women – whether through education, training, leadership, mentoring or acting as a role model.
