Trauma Breakthrough | South West Charity Conference

By Ben Carey on 7 June, 2024

The Business Exchange South West Charity Conference & Expo returns to Bath Racecourse on Thursday 13th June 2024.

This year’s theme is ‘Driving Positive Change’, with sessions and conversations centring on societal issues and how we can all work collectively to make a difference in our community.

The annual Charity Conference started in 2019, and this year’s event is being delivered in partnership with our sponsors Milsted Langdon, St John’s Foundation and Stone King.

Attracting attendees and exhibitors from across the country including Devon, Dorset, Manchester and London, the Conference has grown to be a flagship event for the TBE network and promises a wealth of opportunities to connect, converse and contribute.

Trauma Breakthrough is one of the charities exhibiting at this year’s event. CEO Giles Lascelle tells us about the charity and what he’s looking forward to this year.

Tell us about your charity

Trauma Breakthrough is a charity based in Bath and covering the whole south-west of England, that provides specialist therapy and mental health support to adult survivors of abuse and other kinds of trauma. We also offer training to businesses and other organisations to help them provide trauma-informed wellbeing support to their staff and service-users.

What you will be promoting on the day?

During the TBE expo, as well as promoting our services for survivors, we are also keen to showcase some of our training and sponsorship offerings to businesses and other organisations.

What do you like about the South West Charity Conference & Expo?

The seminars at the expo are always highly informative and inspiring, but what we most love is the opportunity to connect both with other charities, and also with businesses. Some of our most fruitful partnerships have come out of connections we have made at the TBE Charity Expo.

What you’re most looking forward to about the day?

What we are most looking forward to on the day (other than breakfast), are all the great conversations and new connections that we know we will have.
