The Leadership Dialogues, a mentoring and networking event aimed at business leaders, is taking place on Wednesday 3rd July.
Recognising that leadership is enacted through meaningful interaction, the event has been created to allow leaders and aspiring leaders to come together to share, learn and be inspired.
The theme for the The Leadership Dialogues, which is being held at The Forum in Bath city centre, is Intentional Leadership, encompassing choosing how you lead, and being true to yourself, your values and your vision.
The Leadership Dialogues will be broken down into sub-themes of:
- Being intentional takes courage: speakers will share inspirational personal stories.
- Being intentional requires knowing what you stand for: speakers share the choices they have made.
- Being intentional energises others, builds resilience and increases the impact you achieve.
The day consists of succinct, 20-minute talks, interviews and panel discussions interspersed with time for networking between attendees, small group discussions, and direct interaction with speakers.
The speakers are all leaders in their own contexts with fascinating personal stories and insights. The dialogues will ignite reflection, fuel conversations, and inspire and encourage you to lead with intention.
The list of speakers includes:
- Serena Guthrie MBE, Former Captain, Team GB Netball
- Tom Keith-Roach, President, AstraZeneca UK
- Tonika Sealy, Ambassador to Brazil for Barbados
- Johann van Graan, Head Coach, Bath Rugby
- Margaret Heffernan, Author / Speaker / Advisor
- Rupert Brown, ex Global Chief People Officer, Virgin Media O2
- Sarah Gillard, CEO, Blueprint for Better Business
- Simon McKenzie, CEO, Bridge-Institute
- Stephen Wyatt, Professor & Consultant of Leadership, University of Bath
- Dr. Krish Kandiah OBE, Social Entrepreneur / Broadcaster / Speaker, Sanctuary Foundation
- Julia Strachan, Ambassador / former Head of Partnerships, Justice and Care
A spokesperson for the event said, “Attendees at The Leadership Dialogues will hear from highly successful leaders in business and sport, as well as think tanks. They will have the opportunity to meet like-minded leaders and discuss the ideas presented, or other areas of interest, through on-the-day discussion groups or by networking on the Leadership Dialogues app.
“The session will pose a series of questions including What exactly is Intentional Leadership? and Why is it important to pay attention to this approach compared to what is conventionally perceived of leadership?”
