Children’s Hospice South West | South West Charity Conference

By Ben Carey on 6 June, 2024

The Business Exchange South West Charity Conference & Expo returns to Bath Racecourse on Thursday 13th June 2024.

This year’s theme is ‘Driving Positive Change’, with sessions and conversations centring on societal issues and how we can all work collectively to make a difference in our community.

The annual Charity Conference started in 2019, and this year’s event is being delivered in partnership with our sponsors Milsted Langdon, St John’s Foundation and Stone King.

Attracting attendees and exhibitors from across the country including Devon, Dorset, Manchester and London, the Conference has grown to be a flagship event for the TBE network and promises a wealth of opportunities to connect, converse and contribute.

Children’s Hospice South West will be exhibiting at this year’s event. B&NES and West Wiltshire Area Fundraiser Heidi Roberts told us what she is looking forward to this year.

What does your organisation do? Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) cares for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and the whole family. We are there for the families and help to create precious memories.

Why have you signed up for the Conference & Expo and what do you hope to gain from it?

CHSW is hoping to recruit some riders for our Ride for Precious Lives for 2025 which involves riding between our three amazing hospices. We also want to connect with businesses who can help make a difference to the families in our care.

Are there any sessions you are looking forward to the most?

I am looking forward to hearing St John’s Foundation speak about managing change in our ever-changing environment.

What can people expect from your organisation on the day?

I am going to be joined at the exhibition stand by one of our great business supporters, MiTEQ. They will be able to talk about their partnership with CHSW and how focusing on CSR has made a difference to them and to so many bereaved families through their support of forest school sessions for bereaved families.

Where can people find out more about your organisation?

We have lots of different events and ways to work with us, and these can be found on our website CHSW.org.uk or by contacting Heidi.Roberts@CHSW.org.uk
