New for 2016, every Tuesday we delve into the day-to-day diary of a member of the local business community. This week we put the spotlight on Sharon Omer-Kaye, managing partner of the Swindon office of RSM.
What time does your alarm go off?
Most days 7am, but it can be 5am onwards depending on where I am going.
What’s the first thing you do?
Feed the cats!
What do you do for lunch?
Work through – can’t remember the times I took a regular lunch break; need to give myself a talking to about work-life balance!
What do you love most about your job?
Helping people; whether it’s solving issues for clients or developing the team it’s a people business and developing relationships is hugely rewarding.
What’s the worst part of the job?
Administration and timesheets!
What executive tool/ gadget could you not live without?
My Ipad – it allows me access to the office systems, technical information, my emails – in fact it allows me to work anywhere/anytime – work/life balance again!!
What do you do after work?
Relax, go to the gym and socialise.
