Mercedes-Benz of Drakes Way Swindon, has just been awarded second place in the Sunday Times ‘Best Big Companies to Work For’ Awards. The dealership is part of the renowned Sytner group and this impressive result marks the best ever achievement in the competition. Sytner is also the only UK company to achieve a top five position for six years in succession.
The 90-strong team at Mercedes-Benz of Swindon was invited to complete a survey distributed by the Sunday Times and, together with their colleagues at other Sytner retailers, gave working for the group a resounding thumbs-up. In fact, so high was the response from Sytner employees that it was the greatest engagement of a business’s workforce that the Sunday Times had ever seen in the history of the competition.
According to the Sunday Times, no other workforce believe they can contribute as much to the success of their business, feel as proud or as stimulated by their job as the team at Sytner. Enthusiasm for where the company is going is felt across the business and employees believe they have a positive future ahead of them at Sytner, which prides itself on promoting from within. Employees also said that the company is run on strong values and is fun to work for.
A recent, complete refurbishment of the Mercedes-Benz of Swindon showroom has contributed to the job satisfaction of its long-established team. The extensive revisions included the addition of premium grade furniture and materials throughout, creating a much improved working environment in addition to a more welcoming retail setting for customers. In fact, such is the appearance and feel of the Mercedes-Benz of Swindon showroom that the team feel it is unlike any other car dealership that they have experienced!
