Contact Centre strengthens team with new appointment

Award-winning Swindon-based Contact Centre Carpeo, has appointed a business development director as it continues its growth and expands into new sectors.

Mark Coleman has joined from Teleperformance where he was Vice President of Global Accounts. Mark brings to Carpeo 20 years of client management and sales experience, having worked for both national and international businesses in the contact centre outsourcing industry. He previously worked for Capgemini, Ventura and 24/7. 

When asked why he has moved across from the world’s largest contact centre outsourcer, Mark said: I want to use my industry knowledge, experience and approach to ensure clients get the very best out of their outsourcing partnerships. The priorities of outsourcers and clients are often misaligned, resulting in strained relationships and ultimately a lack of focus on customer experience. Ive joined Carpeo because the leadership team are industry experts and share this philosophy. We want to make clients and their customers feel special. Being a privately owned mid-size company, we can be much more flexible and responsive than larger organisations.”  

Established over seven years ago,  Carpeo represents some of the biggest blue-chip clients in the education, automotive, insurance, logistics, restaurant, hospitality, energy and retail sectors. Director and co-founder Peter Wilcock persuaded Mark to join the team, he said: Were thrilled to have someone of Mark’s experience and qualities joining our management team. It’s quite a coup for us and having known Mark for several years, he was always someone we had targeted to join us at the appropriate time. Mark’s knowledge and track record significantly strengthens our capabilities in bidding for work to fulfil our bold growth plans.

Since joining Carpeo in early March, Mark has already been busy working on several new opportunities which will add to Carpeo’s portfolio of clients. Mark added: “It’s exciting having the option to offer the multi-channel solutions Carpeo has in its armoury. Clients are looking for flexible, responsive partners and that’s right in our sweet spot.”
