What changes have been going on behind the scenes?
With a new lease of life post pandemic, a change in operation and a new sense of direction, my team of highly skilled individuals help steer Hartham Park and its facilities to what it is today.
For me, it’s all about reputation, we don’t realise how lucky we are to be able to operate from such a unique property, in my opinion, the key to its success is its people. We practise what we preach in a way which supports our morals which impact our community rebuild. As long as we are transparent and consistent with our approach Hartham Park will continue to grow.
Keep you eyes peeled for when we advertise weddings!
What plans are afoot for this year?
Hartham Park has always worked on building a strong position in commercial real estate and maintaining a strong stabilised relationship with its current clientele is vital.
Plans to drive growth, steady the rate of occupancy, maintain the property values and strategic planning will help encourage others to experience what Hartham has to offer.
What are you and the team looking forward to this year?
My team and clients always look forward to the monthly onsite community events as they get to mingle together, sample some really tasty food and drink courtesy of SweetPea Kitchen and get involved in activities. For example, an Easter egg hunt with prizes to be won, new for 2023 our quarterly networking event, regular food bank collection, summer BBQ, outdoor activities and more.
Tell us a bit about your background and your current position at Hartham Park
I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for almost 14 years, Combe Grove Manor, Bowood Hotel & Spa and most recently The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa where I was the Deputy General Manager. The transferable skills which I have acquired in my career, have given me the confidence and belief to take on the opportunity to revive Hartham Park. I joined in January 2022 and I’m loving every minute of it.
What are your hobbies and interests?
Now that both of my daughters are in secondary school, most of my time is spent being a taxi service!
I like to think that my 6am alarm keeps me fit and healthy as I train at the gym 4-5 times a week, plus now that I’m closer to 40, I play vets football for Melksham Town.
I do love to visit warmer climates, now that my parents live in Spain, I intend to visit on a more regular basis. Dining out with friends and family is so important, I love to sample a variety of cuisine.
How are you shaping the team and offering at Hartham?
We all know the market is fluid, but in terms of our offering, there’s a perception people have of a mansion house like Hartham that you’ve got to be in a particular business or demographic to take an office here, but you don’t! We’re down-to-earth, dedicated, and extremely customer-centric, wanting to provide a service to the community which is in-keeping with its surroundings.
My team are vital to its success, they hold the key to our reputation and as their leader I aim to empower, allowing them to have an impact on the wider business. A work-life balance which helps create a happy, healthy environment allows me to manage expectations. I’m a very relaxed, laid back individual who has high expectations of myself.
